On
behalf of the Concert/Lecture Committee, I would liketo express our
appreciation for your splendid performance of "The Belle of
Amherst" here last Tuesday night. Comments from many of our
students have been very positive with the majority of them describing
the program as excellent. Our president, Dr. Potts, and our
Academic Dean, Dr. Pollard, both congratulated our Committee on this
program. Both felt it was superb.
Our
Facilities Manager, Mr. Gill, and the students who assisted with sound
and light, comments on how pleasant it was to work with you in preparing
for the performance. Both Delana and Teela thought the program was
wonderful and appreciated the opportunity to help with it.
Personally,
I was very impressed with the manner in which you changed personas.
When you stepped on the stage, you WERE Emily Dickinson. It was a
wonderful performance of a very good play. I highly recommend
"The Belle of Amherst" to others who might be considering
presenting it.
I
also enjoyed our conversation time as we commuted by Tuscaloosa very
much. I feel I have a new friend. I wish you well with the
new play you're rehearsing, and with your continued presentations of
"The Belle of Amherst." |
